About Us
Te Puke Cricket Club has a long, proud history of providing cricket to the community.
A number of high-profile players have represented Te Puke over the years, the honours board littered with names such as Cairns, Hart, Roberts, current Black Cap - Kane Williamson, and even ex All Black, Grant Fox, donning the colours of our club.
September 1887, saw the Te Puke Cricket Club established via constitution – George H Lee being the first chairman and the President, Captain Evered. The Vice Presidents were Captain Bennett and George Lee, with Mr Steel being the Secretary whilst also the Headmaster of Te Puke School.
Throughout the history of the club, we have strived to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all those who are a part of Te Puke Cricket Club. We have a growing number of Junior and Youth players coming through – putting us in a great position to continue building on our successes both on and off the pitch.
We love hearing the cheering on the sidelines, banter amongst friends, chats in the breaks and after matches – and seeing the smiles on those faces as moments are celebrated – whether it’s their first catch, first wicket, first time retiring, a runout, hattrick, half century or the elusive ton.
Our club is made up of many hard-working volunteers, who generously donate their time to helping within the sporting communities – for which we are very grateful.
