Rules

1. Maximum of 8 players per team. Each player to bowl a maximum of 2 x 8-ball overs from no more than a 4-step run up. Care should be taken when bowling to less-experienced players. No LBW decisions.

2. Batsmen to retire on completing 30 runs.  Any batsmen scoring 10 or less runs may return to bat with the last remaining batsman if the maximum of 16 overs has not been bowled.  Any other rules to be negotiated by Team Captains prior to commencement of play.

3. The Te Puke Cricket Club will supply each team with a ball at the beginning of the season and scorecards. Any other gear requirements will be the responsibility of the team.  Each team is to supply a set of stumps. The team that bats first supplies the ball for the whole of that game.

4. Ground fees are $40 per team. These fees, plus the scorecard, are to be handed in at the Cricket Pavilion as soon as possible after play finishes - EFTPOS is available at the bar.

5. The drinking of alcohol and smoking (including vaping, etc) is banned at all grounds in accordance with WBOPDC policy.  Please help uphold the reputation of TPCC by adhering to this policy, so we can keep using these grounds.

6. Twilight Cricket has been designed to be played in competitive yet friendly spirit.  The older guy you are fast bowling to has not got your reactions - respect new players and their abilities.

7. The Twilight Trophy was won by R & R Tractors last season.  There will be a draw to decide which team starts this season with the trophy.  This team will retain the trophy each week until beaten (just like the Ranfurly Shield).  The holder of the trophy must bring it to every game and the trophy is to be handed over at the end of the game.  The team in possession of the trophy at the end of the competition will be deemed the winner and the team name will be engraved on the trophy.

8. In the event of defaulting, please contact Barry Roderick (027 710 5449) as soon as possible.  The defaulting team will be awared 0 points, and their opponents will get 3 points.
